I want, so bad, to get back into DJing and broadcasting. I had a blast doing it, I learned alot, I grew, I overcame some of my fears of speaking, I enjoyed listening to the music, I loved interacting with the other personalities, broadcasters, DJs, and sales staff.

I propose turning the other half of the aforementioned location into an internet broadcasting station, kind of like a modern-day “PBS”, but focused locally, to highlight local artists, musicians, and producers. Though we have four main radio stations here locally, two are adult contemporary, one is classic rock, and the other is country. We have no urban, hip hop, r & b, or soul radio stations here, and this is a shame, because there’s definitely an audience for those particular genres and formats. There’s definitely a market for an urban radio station here, and I know of a few others who have tried to start one, but for some reason things just didn’t work out. I believe alot of that has to do with local politics, but I’ll keep my mouth shut about it. I just know there’s alot of history here in the City of Firsts, not just history regarding the automotive industry, but also history regarding the civil rights movement, and there’s definitely a rich history regarding music and entertainment. Having written all that, though I don’t know the first thing about how to manage a radio station, I’ve learned alot when I was doing part time broadcasting. I foresee this being another avenue to generate advertising revenue. I see this another way to open up doors for many local entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and producers. Trust me, there’s plenty of talent here, the City of Firsts is an untapped resource for pure talent. People are hungry here, people are hurting here, people are struggling here. The last time I checked, the unemployment rate was around 12% or so. Now that’s what some newspaper article said, but I believe it’s alot worse than that. See, the hits that Delphi (though now an independent corporation, still is highly dependent on the automotive industry, especially GM) and Chrysler have taken from the slumping economy affected other industries and markets as well. The hits that the real estate market have taken have payed a toll here also, there’s plenty of empty houses, and there’s plenty of empty buildings, and there’s plenty of empty office spaces.

So along with all this I foresee in regard to the I.T. industry, I also foresee a huge spike in local economic growth because a larger flow of capital will be coming in, there will be an influx of capital being dispersed, as jobs are created, people can get back to work, and thus start spending money again, which increases sales, which increases demand, and as long as the supply side (in this case, it’s almost a given that there’s going to be complex technical problems to solve in the near and immediate future, since almost every industry is somehow directly or indirectly dependent on information technology to handle day to day tasks and responsibilities) keeps up with the demand side (the demand for work, the demand for capital, the demand for self-improvement and community improvement), things will continue to get better and better economically.

I don’t know what to say about the ipad, I feel like making a commercial that has a man holding a tiny, triangular device that begins to light up and then transform into a holographic image, and in that image a video starts playing that shows a robot grabbing the ipad and breaking it with his hands. Then (once again breaking the fourth wall), the text begins to scroll,
